I green building al centro della scena di COP22

Qui di seguito un resoconto in lingua inglese del World GBC e dei GBC dell'area MENA che hanno preso parte alla conferenza sui cambiamenti climatici tenutasi a Marrakech i giorni scorsi.

The World Green Building Council and a number of Green Building Councils (particularly those from the MENA Region) played an influential role at the UN's COP22 Climate Change conference in Marrakech last week.
A second 'Buildings Day' was the centre piece of WorldGBC's role at the Moroccan conference - which continues this week - with a focus on action that has taken place since COP21, where the groundbreaking Paris Agreement was reached last year. We detailed the progress GBCs have made against their COP21 commitments, and unveiled plans by a number of GBCs to introduce net zero certification or designation schemes under our Advancing Net Zero project. Michael Northrop of the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, which is supporting the project, wrote about this progress for the Huffington Post, and our CEO Terri Wills blogged about how green buildings were front and centre at the conference.
We were delighted that Morocco Green Building Council played a vital role at COP22, providing key support on the ground to UNEP and other partners around several events such as the meeting of the Global Alliance for Buildings and Construction, Buildings Day, a green building tour of Marrakech, the Building Efficiency Accelerator breakfast and the MENA Regional Network meeting. We would like to thank them for their excellent work and support at the conference.

WorldGBC will continue to have a presence at COP22 this week, and will be closely following the developments as delegates meet to enter into high level negotiations. Follow #betterbuildgreen on Twitter for the latest updates.
